Ella’s Bat Mitzvah

Congratulations Ella!!  It was amazing to be part of this joyous occasion.  :-)  I’ve known the family for quite some time and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph Ella’s Bat Mitzvah.  As many of you know…I’m a high school guidance counselor during the day and a photographer the rest of the time…this was a marriage of the two and I have to tell you that I had a GREAT time! We started at Congregation Kol Ami and ended at the Manufacturers Country Club.  I’m not sure that I’ve been around 80+ kids at one time (outside of school of course), but man do they know how to have a good time.   Ellla’s family was wonderful and gracious and I’m excited to share this blog post/sneak peek with you!

Wenny & Eric {University of DE}

As a guidance counselor (my day job), I’ve talk to numerous students about how wonderful the University of Delaware is….but it wasn’t until I met Wenny and Eric did I truely discover how BEAUTIFUL the campus was!!  I met up with Wenny and Eric on April 25th at 8:30am on UDEL’s campus.  It was also “Accepted Students Day” so there was definitely a lot of activity…but the beauty of the campus is that it’s so expansive that at times, it felt like we had the place to ourselves.  Wenny and Eric were great!!  We had a lot of fun; they laughed and kissed…and I got to learn all about the campus and them!   So while I was getting to know this caring and loving couple, they taught me something that I could actually use at my other job.  It was like my two worlds were colliding.  Either way….I had a wonderful time.  This is only a very small sampling of the day.  Enjoy this post and keep your eye out for their wedding on June 9, 2012.

Ashley & Joe {Curtis Arboretum}

And with Ashley and Joe, my 2012 photography season has begun and what better way to kick off the season then with an engagement session on this beautiful day (4/14/2012) at the Curtis Arboretum!!  I met Ashley and Joe through a former bride (and friend and guidance intern…Sam!!)  We had a great time…a lot of laughing, smiling (and um…searching for my “lost” phone-which wasn’t really lost-pfew!) and I have to admit….I’m loving this session.  Enjoy and leave some blog love for the couple.  Stay tuned for their wedding in September 2012!
